One of the big improvers this year knocking on the door of playing in the big kids yard. Also an outside chance of a place in the championships. A definite place bet chance or even better.

Definitely one of the favourites. Has the form and the runs on the board. Rarely strays off the centre of the track and has his eyes fixed squarely on the finish line. Has failed to win this in the past and wants it dearly. Dig deep.

A scratching last year. It was suggested he couldn’t stand the heat and got out of the kitchen. A former winner who has hit top form at the right time of the year, thanks to the stable that Café Noir has gone to. Must be a big chance.

Has been playing in the big boys yard for some time now, and is always thereabout. Loves this track and always performs well on this strip. Another outside chance that’s worth a flutter.

Came close to being sent to the glue factory earlier this year. Is back after a long spell and is slowly regaining the form that saw him challenge for a placing in last year’s championships. An outsider with past form that could be rewarding.

A past winner with the form to take it out again. One of the more consistent performers of the year, running equal third in the championships with one round to go. Just like money in the bank.

This is his second showing in this event. With the wisdom of hindsight and a consistent performance throughout this year is going to be a real contender. Word has it that connections are digging deep for this one.

Another performer who has shown consistency this year. In fact this would have to be one of the better years this old war horse has seen. Would love to place this cup in his stable and while on song could just do it.

Running off similar weight to this time last year. Another middle of the field performer who has managed to grace the judges once this year. This could though be his second time so worth a saver. Think of the odds.

Another of the front runners and well weighted for a two day performance. Has maintained a handicap that allows for a number of "Did you see that’s", and still be at the front of the field. A definite chance.

In the top half dozen, has placed himself for a possible place in the championship and thrives on pressure. A gritty goer who is a nose to the grindstone performer, will be hard to beat. Dig deep.

In a two day event being towed along must be a benefit. Has performed well for most of the year as his points indicate. Has also peaked at the right time of the year. Definitely worthy of a flutter.

A definite chance with five wins, considering the amount of time that was missed throughout the year. If any horse can be considered a serious challenger this is the one. Bet the house.

At the time of writing equal third in the championship with one to run. Has performed to his best for most of the year and was second to Gaelic Dream in a run up event. Could go one better in this one. Empty the wallets.

The odds on favourite. His handlers will be checking his food all next week. His stables will be lined with cotton wool. However, favourites don’t always win, but if you follow form this is where most of the money will be.

This has been a turbulent year for this colt, with many missed appearances. So form is hard to ascertain. However, does run with desire when on the track and should not be discarded.

More suited to the hunt than racing. Has failed to salute the judge this year. But only had enough starts to qualify for this field. A sentimental bet for a placing would be the way to go.

Another of the lightweights who have managed to salute on a number of occasions. In this field with that handicap spread over two days he must be worth a saver.

A maiden runner coming into this event with excellent form. A young colt who was enlisted earlier this year and has not completed his first season. Must be considered an excellent risk on the day.

Has already won this event and knows how to pace himself against the field. A colt with a hint of arrogance and a huge degree of confidence. He will be out to pace the favourites and home in for the kill.
