ENIGMA BY: PUZZLE
SOLVER OUT OF: MENSA JOCKEY: MALCOLM ADEY HANDICAP:
CURRENT: 25 C/SHIP POINTS: 36 WIN/PLACE: 1 / 9 |
Handicapper has reweighted this colt much more generously than in
previous years although with a win has shown spirited track work. A stallion
who is on the comeback trail after serious hoof problems. Don't back him if running in Tasmania. |
DAG PICKER BY: SQUATTER OUT OF: FARMERS WIFE JOCKEY: BEN AKDAG HANDICAP:
CURRENT: 14 C/SHIP POINTS: 9 WIN/PLACE: 0 / 4 |
Has become a night shift worker. Struggling to make it on raceday,
good on his day. Inside word is that next season he could be very social. Still worth a couple of Euros each way. |
DAGS BY: GOLDEN RAM OUT OF: PRETTY EWE JOCKEY: MEHMET AKDAG HANDICAP: CURRENT: 8 C/SHIP POINTS: 78 WIN/PLACE: 5 / 12 |
Stallion has improved formlines from
last season, 5 Wins 13 placings. Las Vegas form lines, Turkish holiday or was
it stallion practice? Very impressive, bookies agree rate highly. |
CROW EATER BY :RAVEN: OUTOF: MAGPIE
LARK: JOCKEY: ANDREW
BLIGHT HANDICAP:20 C/SHIP POINTS: 27
WIN/PLACE: 2 /
4 |
Colt has changed stables during the
year, now stalled at Moreland C.C. Don't know whether that is a good or bad
thing as yet. Jockey has the same weight as previous years, form lines are
also similar take on trust, that is can you trust a magpie or is that a lark
or a raven? Shows great poise, can he hold the pose for 2 weeks? Thought I
would indulge myself for the last time Blighty. Has run more positively in the past
but looks a bit past it now. Unlikely to be first past the post so only the
least pessimistic punter would post a wager based on recent form Worth some thought on the e/way. |
WOODCHIP BY: STRONG
BOUGH OUT OF:
PLANTATION FOREST JOCKEY: HARRY
BOUGHEN HANDICAP: 20 C/SHIP POINTS: 32 WIN/PLACE: 5 / 4 |
Handicapping certainty, or is that certainly? Extremely well qualified for some time now. Hasn't put him off. Points slight improvement from
last year. Last year's comments stand.
"Strong chance if the mechanics are in good working order". |
NOODLES BY: FLOUR’N’EGGS OUT OF: PASTA MACHINE JOCKEY: STEPHEN BUTTERFIELD HANDICAP:
CURRENT: 6 C/SHIP POINTS: 89
WIN/PLACE: 6 / 14 |
Definite prospect for horse of the
year, Sectionals have improved dramatically over the last year, probably
something to do with shredding the white flannels. Check the win and place
ratio, very impressive As previously stated, each way all
day or straight out. |
TECHNOCRAT BY: CORRECT SWING OUT OF: SWIVEL HIPS JOCKEY: ALLAN DAVIES HANDICAP21 C/SHIP POINTS:
0 WIN/PLACE: 0 / 0 |
Stallion decided to retire and go
off on racing adventures far and wide, did so for a short while until
disaster happened. Horse float and bus do not communicate in out back
Queensland, float and buggy written off, jockey returns home to existing
stable, starts anew at the closing stage off the season. Hopefully he can
produce some of the fine form he has shown in the past, in particular this major
event. Give him a go? Roughies have bobbed
up before look at last year's result |
WESTERN UNION BY: NORTHERN LIGHTS OUT OF: SOUTHERN AURORA JOCKEY: BILL EASTOE HANDICAP: 10 C/SHIP POINTS:68 WIN/PLACE: 2 / 22 |
A runner who has enough class to
win. Has performed well in all conditions, usually
overseas when this group event is staged,
went to NZ a little earlier in the month Preferred the Aussie dollar and
returned. Can give this event a big shake.
Bookies are keeping this colt very safe. |
LICENSE 2 KILL . BY: BOND OUT OF: PUSSY GALORE JOCKEY: MALCOLM FLEMING HANDICAP: 22 C/SHIP POINTS: 8 WIN/PLACE: 0 / 4 |
Another of the injury prone older
colts, weight drop by 2 kgs might help. Missed a lot of track work due to
injury, never the less odds will be appealing. Good for the place. |
NORTHERN GENERAL BY: GENERAL GRANT OUT OF: MISS OHIO JOCKEY: ROD GRANT HANDICAP: 21 C/SHIP POINTS: 13 WIN/PLACE 1 / 1 |
Another of the fighting warriors struggling
all season with injury, but when right can charge up the straight with
precision, generally out flanking the opposition. Hoofs been a concern so may not see
the distance marker? |
DARK HORSE BY: MORNING SHADE OUT OF: SUNRISE JOCKEY: KEN GRIST HANDICAP: 19 C/SHIP POINTS: 47 WIN/PLACE: 1 / 16 |
Jockey had heart surgery in May or
early June, form for this event has been good over the years. Had a spell in
Europe during the winter. Form in this event has seen many placings over the
journey, not sure about how many wins.
Has been quite consistent when in the breeding barn even with time out. Take him each way. |
WINDY CITY BY: CAPONE OUT OF: VALENTINES DAY JOCKEY: OLIVER GROSS HANDICAP: 10 C/SHIP POINTS: 76 WIN/PLACE: 3 / 14 |
Stallion has decided that you
perform better if you don't run the overseas shuttle service. Has settled in
Melbourne now, the stewards knocked back his application for a permanent stay
crying that he was over the age limit. Don't let that deter you, this
stallion on his day can do anything. Each way all day. |
ODDS ON BY: THE PUNTER OUT OF: TWO FLIES JOCKEY: GORDON HILL HANDICAP: 12 C/SHIP POINTS: 94 WIN/PLACE: 4 / 24 |
This well performed stallion has had
4 wins and a pile of placings 24, in fact, is that a record'? Stallion is
sitting comfortably on the top line of betting carrying a 3 kg weight
adjustment from this time last year. Could be the Horse of the Year, although
there are others hitting top gear heading to the winning post. • Loves the big time, will give a good
sight. |
KIRRIBILLI BY: THE LODGE OUT OF : JOHN JOCKEY: DAVID HOWARD HANDICAP: 18 C/SHIP POINTS 13 WIN/PLACE: 0 / 4 |
Not seen as much this season, study
and work commitments have caused time out. Along with falling out of the cart
at the Bendigo meeting. Can turn it on though when spare ribs are required,
but oh so painful when over stretched. Having said all that this colt can
hit long and straight, worthy of a dollar or two each way. |
MARS BAR BY: TURKISH DELIGHT OUT OF: SWEET TOOTH JOCKEY: TREVOR JACKSON HANDICAP: 26 C/SHIP POINTS: 25 WIN/PLACE: 0 / 10 |
Pneumonia can't stop this colt from
performing, back can, but fitter this time in. Slight weight advantage from
last year's event. Worth a deena or two each way. |
THE GENERAL BY : LINCOLNS NEMESIS OUT OF: GREY COAT JOCKEY: DAMIEN LEE HANDICAP: 9 C/SHIP POINTS: 57 WIN/PLACE: 2 /16 |
Another stallion who has 2 wins and
16 placings, very
consistent, odds will be shorter than the stallion.
Missed the Bendigo meeting this year but
always a great competitor. Must be a big threat again, form impressive when in the group
ones. Money on the nose |
THE TEXAN BY: THE OIL MAN OUT OF: BLACK GOLD JOCKEY: MIKE MANN HANDICAP: 19 CHAMPIONSHIP POPINTS: 34 WIN/PLACE. 2 / 8 |
Another of the colts that need to travel extensively, this year has
been a good average year, so I guess as the Texan says, I am here to rumble,
or is that grumble? No, I am here to win. No worries mate. No jet lag so go for it big time. Nothings
bigger than Texas or the Texan. |
ARCHBISHOP BY: CARDINALS PLEASURE OUT OF: NUNS DELIGHT JOCKEY: LAURIE MANNIX HANDICAP: 22 C/SHIP POINTS: 28 WIN/PLACE: 1 /11 |
Stallion has tripled points scored
this season, I win and 11 placings, Handicap has been slightly outwardly
adjusted, that won't stop the putts from going in and not sliding by. Have a saver on this colt. |
ARMPITS BY: MCENROE'S CHOICE OUT OF: PERFECT DEMEANOUR JOCKEY: BOB MACDONALD HANDICAP: CURRENT: 24 C/SHIP POINTS: 21 WIN/PLACE: 0 / 9 |
This one is a worry, said that last
year, didn't I? The colt has problems staying on ladders, 4 legged sires have
no need for ladders. Never the less handicap positioning allows for a quick
form reversal as shown in the Spring Cup. Risk the punt |
ROUGH RUNNER BY: STRATE LINE OUT OF: CHECK THE CARD JOCKEY: TARGE MIFSUD HANDICAP : 18 C/SHIP POINTS: 63 WIN/PLACE: 2 / 19. |
The sibling rivalry is alive and
well. Both he and his brother are within spitting distance of each other in
the championship tally. That was until today when Tony conceded, tried to
tell all and sundry that he was attending a wedding, likely story. Definitely an each way bet. |
BIRDIE
CHANCE BY: STRATELINE OUT OF: CHECK
THE CARD JOCKEY: TONY
MIFSUD HANDICAP: 16 CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS: 63 WIN/PLACE: 2 /15. |
As mentioned previously the sibling
rivalry is extreme. However Harry, where is the course detective, maybe you
should consult with SOS... 2 Wins, 15 placings handicap weight 1 kg less than
last when only a 54 rating.?? Jockey can hit his irons very
nicely, just ask him? Worth a good wager if the conditions suit. |
SHAKEY
ISLES BY : ALL BLACK OUT OF: MISS
ENZ JOCKEY: BRENDON MITCHELL HANDICAP: 9 C/SHIP POINTS: 54 WIN/PLACE: 2 / 14 |
Horse is now well settled, made
first appearance at the Bendigo meeting this year. 2 Wins and 14 Placings 54
points has seen a return to the high rollers of the sport. Although
struggling with the form guide of late. Maybe the filly in the barn is
teething, causing sleepless nights; Still he can produce on the day. Each way for sure. |
SOMETIME BY: IF I CAN OUT OF: MAYBE I WILL JOCKEY: ANDREW PETRICOLA HANDICAP: 1 C/SHIP POINTS: 57 WIN/PLACE: 5 / 6 |
This colt is top weight for sure,
colt is displaying outstanding qualities, weight for age star, but this is a
handicap event and top weights are at a disadvantage, that doesn't mean no
hope. Class can prevail. Last year injury kept colt in barn. Each way ALL day. |
HIT
IT HARD BY: TIENMEN OUT OF: STUFF U JOCKEY: CHRIS PRIEMS HANDICAP: 10 C/SHIP POINTS: 76 WIN/PLACE 3 / 20 |
Another of those who managed the
handicap merry go round this ,year, colt has saluted the judge 3 times this season
with 20 placings. Points scored have soared from 46 to 76. Harry where is the
bloody course detective hiding?? |
DALLAS
HEAT BY: J R EWING: OUT OF: MANY MISTRESSES JOCKEY: MO SABIH HANDICAP: 17. C/SHIP POINTS: 41 WIN/PLACE: 1 / 10. |
Second start in this event. Has
settled well into stable life. Shows immaculate poise on the track, can't
distract him just loves to stay calm. Track work not as good as last season
but can turn it around as he is trialing new equipment. (Tiger Woods type golf
balls) Still good form is good form, if you
can find it.? |
C.SHARP MINOR BY: SHARP MAJOR OUT OF: DISCORD
JOCKEY: CRAIG
SHARP HANDICAP: 12 C/SHIP POINTS :42
WIN/PLACE 2 / 9 |
Has had the jockey change saddles,
gone for a Henry Griffith type set. I haven't noticed any improvement yet,
but I heard that after the Bendigo meeting, eh debacle the colt put some sensational
sectionals on at Waterford Gully, nowhere near Bendigo is it.? _ The question
was asked last year! Should the winning jockey wear the Golden Jacket for
both rounds of the Vin O'Meara?? No, Eddie is. |
DUTCH SAILOR BY: ANY PORT OUT OF: IN A STORM JOCKEY: JAN SIEMON HANDICAP: 13 C/SHIP POINTS: 31 WIN/PLACE: 1 / 7 |
Slightly down on form from last
season, suspect the same problem as in previous form guide, not enough
vitamins and a dislike for sleep on Friday nights, not good for the punters on
Saturday. Still another who can fire up when
the occasion is right, Dutch Sailor the time is nigh? . |
A TOUCH OF BLARNEY BY :IRISH EYES OUT OF :SWEET COLLEEN JOCKEY: STEPHEN O'SULLIVAN HANDICAP: 14 C/SHIP POINTS: 78 WIN/PLACE: 3 / 17 |
Sectionals this year have been
fabulous, could COP the lot this year. Big Show. Book him (in). |
DENNIS THE MENACE BY: DAVID LAW OUT OF: GLORIA HENRY JOCKEY: DENNIS TIERNAN HANDICAP: 20 C/SHIP POINTS 14 WIN/PLACE 0 / 4 |
Dennis the menace has joined an
illustrious group of stallions standing his first season this year. Having
joined in the latter part of the football season, nothing to do with the
mating season. Although it is whispered on the Dennis vine that his favorite
jockey is C Judd. Those who have had the privilege of walking the barn yard
with Dennis can confirm that if he gets it right or is that left he is
capable of winning a major. Could it be a win first up.? Worth an each way wager at odds. |
