Where we are!
Results 13th Sept 2008
A hard fought matchplay final today was eventually won, over the last few holes, by Chris Priems 2 & 1 from our runner up Stephen O’Sullivan. Chris is now our 2008 Matchplay champion…well done Chris. Chris gets 16 championship points and Stephen 10 points. As per the recent ruling both Matchplay finalists do not get handicap adjusted today. Conditions could not have been better with 24 degrees and clear blue skies. Howard has the fairways looking great and has had the deep rough we’re all used to trimmed down .. rumor is that he played a round himself and didn’t like it that long.
The Par competition resulted in two winners and once again David Rees gets a 1st place tied with Gordon Hill.

Congratulations to our monthly medal winner David Rees who finished four strokes clear of the field to win his second monthly medal this year. We were not disappointed with the first day of spring which turned out to be perfect blue sky and about 18 deg.
Adam Wisby now has his 3rd card in and will be playing in earnest now…welcome to our crazy world Adam!
Don’t forget next week will a club meeting and the matchplay final will be played.

The course has dried out during the week and a milder day made for a very pleasant day of Par golf. David Howard continued his good form for a joint first place with Jan Siemon getting his first win (Well done Jan). Its Monthly medal next week so please remember to wear your club shirts.

Results for 23rd August 2008
Today was almost an exact repeat of last week (scorewise and placings)with Ken Grist once again a winner and grinner and not to be left out David Howard tieing for first place. David Rees proved once again that the club handicapper has perfect judgement hitting a 36 for second place together with Neil and Chris. So Ken and David (Rees) this week shows you can keep the same placings from one week to the next but the rest of us are after you!!!!
.Although damp underfoot in places the course held up really well given the rain we had and the forecast is looking good for this Saturday.
