A hard fought matchplay final today was eventually won, over the last few holes, by Chris Priems 2 & 1 from our runner up Stephen O’Sullivan. Chris is now our 2008 Matchplay champion…well done Chris. Chris gets 16 championship points and Stephen 10 points. As per the recent ruling both Matchplay finalists do not get handicap adjusted today. Conditions could not have been better with 24 degrees and clear blue skies. Howard has the fairways looking great and has had the deep rough we’re all used to trimmed down .. rumor is that he played a round himself and didn’t like it that long.
The Par competition resulted in two winners and once again David Rees gets a 1st place tied with Gordon Hill.
